Ruth Mckinnon

of Bessemer, born June 17, 1925, passed away January 5, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey McKinnon. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Betty Minor , of Calera; one brother, Eddie Shoemaker, of Childersburg; three sons, Tommy Hale of Bessemer, Larry Hale of Hueytown and Dewey McKinnon of Pell City; three grandsons, and five great grandchildren. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church of Bessemer for 35 years. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Currie- Jefferson Funeral Home on Highway 150 in Hoover. Funeral will be Saturday, January 8th in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Barry Cosper officating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens - South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
