of Alabaster, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the age of 77. She was a lifelong resident of the Camp Branch/Saginaw area and member of Camp Branch United Methodist Church. Graduate of Thompson High School where she was a band member, Miss Thompson High School and Vice President of the 1953 Senior Class. Ruth attended Florence State Teachers College where she graduated in 1955 with a Secretarial Science Degree. She taught piano for a number of years at home and at Shelby Academy. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Harris; a son, Travis Harris; a daughter, Lee Harris Fogle; 3 grandchildren, Anna Ruth, Zachary Allen and Madison Lee Fogle; a brother, Jimmy Naish; and a nephew, Chris Naish. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 1 to 2 PM at Camp Branch United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Bill Phares officiating.
