Ruth Goodloe

Ruth McCorkle Goodloe, 87, was born December 29, 1930, and passed away on November 4, 2018. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, then moved to Uniontown, Alabama as a small child, where her family originated from.  She attended Uniontown High School and the University of Montevallo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth McCorkle, her husband, James Goodloe, her sister, Alice White, her daughter Ruth Payne, and her son Walter Goodloe.  She is survived by her sons, Bill Goodloe (Laurie) and Pete Goodloe (Renate), her grandchildren, Matthew Goodloe (Dana), Jamie Swiderski (Scott), Ricky Payne (Heather), and Melissa Morris (Todd), and her great grandchildren Michael Swiderski, Parker and Hadley Goodloe, Jackson, Jordan, and Ricky Payne, Haley and Gracey Harris, and Kasey Jones.

The family will receive friends from 10-11, Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Funeral will follow at 11:00 in the Chapel, Rev. Cross officiating.  Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown, Alabama.
