Russell Beard

of McCalla, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2006 at the age of 59. He served in the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam and was employed with the Internal Revenue Service for 37 years. He was an avid golfer and Alabama fan. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Beard; three sons, Scott Beard (Beth), Dewayne and Brandon Stokes; a daughter, Stephanie Young (Stan); three grandchildren, Maddox Young, William and Jackson Beard; father, William E. Beard; two brothers, Jim Beard (Hollie) and John Beard (Sue); two nieces, Amy Fogle and Kelly McKenzie; two nephews, James and Michael Beard; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Tim Brittan and Rev. Johnny Kilgore officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
