Rosalie Tortomasi Campanotta of Helena, AL, passed away peacefully at her home on November 1, 2024. She was 93 years old. She was born in Pratt City and a graduate of Ensley High School. She was a longtime, faithful member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a devout catholic who practiced her faith daily. Her greatest loves were her family.
She married Joseph Philip Campanotta in 1952, and they were married for 56 years before his death in 2008. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her parents, John and Theresa Tortomasi, and her sister, Mary Ann Tortomasi Ragusa (Joseph).
She is survived by her children Joey (Linda) Campanotta, Rosemary (Joey) Gagliano, Leigh Ann (Tony) Honeycutt, and Theresa (Frank) Mareno. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and were her most precious blessings.
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Jackie Gore for all the love and care that she provided to our mother and family. We would also like to thank all the nurses and staff of Enhabit Hospice, especially Jessica, Sharon, Courtney, Megan, Eryn, and Sonya.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover, Alabama. Visitation from 9:30-11 a.m., funeral mass at 11, with interment immediately following at Elmwood Cemetery. Currie-Jefferson directing.
