Roney Riley

of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at the age of 72. He was a life long employee of Union Carbide, L-Tec and ESAB in Florence SC. Mr. Riley retired after 40 years of service and returned to Birmingham. He is survived by two sisters, Mavis Taylor of Newville, AL and Sally Nelson of Hoover, AL; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2005, at 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, with a graveside service immediately following at 12:00 p.m., at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Katrinia Relief Fund.
