age 62, of McCalla, Alabama, passed away at home Saturday, August 11, 2007, after a long illness. Born November 23, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Alfred Lewis and Lena Lewis Stacy. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years Brenda Mitchem Lewis; his daughter, Kelly Lewis Santos and her husband Andy of Alpharetta, Georgia; and his granddaughter, Marina Lynn Santos also of Alpharetta, Georgia; one brother, Jerry Lee Lewis and his wife Janet of Catawba, North Carolina; and three sisters, Sandra Schwandt of Cleveland, Ohio; Brenda Kay Kraft and her husband Glenn of Englewood, Florida; and Patricia Lewis of Chicago, Illinois; as well as several nieces and a host of friends. Mr. Lewis retired in July, 2003, after spending 30 years as plant superintendant for U.S. Steel Mining. An avid fisherman he looked forward to retiring so he could spend more time fishing. Visitation will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, Alabama, on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sandor Cheka officiating. Entombment will be in the Abbey Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be family & friends.
