Roger Dale Majors, 77, of Hueytown, Alabama, was called home on June 30, 2022. Roger was raised in Bibb County and graduated from West Blocton High School. Roger started trucking at a young age where while taking a call he met the love of his life Geraldine. Roger and Geraldine were married for 55 years and had two wonderful children, Regina and Rhonda, better known as RRR. Roger had over 50 years in trucking including Howard Hall, Hall Systems, USXpress, Southern Cal Transport, Transport America, and Johnny Fayard Trucking. Roger loved his work and had much respect and love for his drivers and trucking family. Roger enjoyed family time, fishing, singing the gospel, and bowling for bragging rights.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Ethel Mae Majors and siblings, Doug Majors, Marie Reach, Doyle Majors, Tommy Majors, Glen Majors, Frances Moats, and Jewel Lawley.
Left to cherish Roger’s memory include his “Doll” of 55 years, Geraldine Majors; Daughters, Regina Killingsworth (Jon) and Rhonda Davis (Tim); Grandchildren, Josh (Sabrina), Abby (Gary Allen), Emily, and Ella Grace; Great-Grandchildren, Harleigh Kate, Hadley Nicole, and Kennedy Foster; Sister, Barbara Shafer Coggins, and Brothers-in-Law, Buddy Humpryes (Carol) and Gary Humpryes (Sue)
The Majors family will accept guests from 11:30AM-1:00PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 with a service to follow at 1:00PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.
