Roger Gunnels

Roger was born on February 9, 1951, and passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. He proudly served our country as a Marine for 4 years, stationed in San Diego and Camp Lejeune. He worked hard at his job in the finance department at Edwards Chevrolet for over 30 years. Roger was a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Gladys, and sister Helen Holmes (Wayne).

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Peggy; his sons, Matt and Taylor (Haley); his sisters, Sara Tarvin (Clint) and Dinah Mayes (Johnny); his brothers, Donald, Jerry (Maggie), and Larry, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been made at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17 from 6-8pm. Burial service will be Wednesday, May 18 at 11am.
