of Hoover, AL, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the age of 54. He was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and graduate of Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. Formerly he was a Special Education teacher at Minor High School and presently taught at Clay-Chalkville High School. He attended Episcopal Church of the Holy Apostles in Hoover. An avid guitarist and talented musician, he passed his love of music on to his son, Max. He had a unique sense of humor and was always making others laugh. He was a loving husband and father, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roddy and LouElla Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary Paris, son, Max Paris, sister, Molly Putnam (Michael), mother and father-in-law, Bill and Sue Brasher, a special aunt and uncle, George "Pete" and Mayze Day, nieces, nephews, sisters and brother-in-laws and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service will be Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 6 PM at Episcopal Church of the Holy Apostles in Hoover with Father Blake Hutson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Special Education Department of Clay-Chalkville High School.
