Rod Anders

Mr. Rod Anders, of Hoover, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the age of 59. He was employed with Morrison Health Care for more than 30 years, finishing his tenure with them as Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Rod was a loving husband and a true southern gentleman. He was generous beyond compare. He had a passion for life, and he loved Alabama football. One could not think about Alabama football without thinking about Rod Anders. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Sheldon Anders. He is survived by his wife of almost 21 years, Pam Anders; his mother, Dolly Anders; and his sister, Diane Michel (Rex). The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be at 3PM Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Riverchase United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Savage officiating. Interment will be Monday in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville. The family asks donations be made to Riverchase United Methodist Church.
