Robert Roan

of Birmingham, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009, at the age of 78. He was a member of Daystar Church in Goodhope, AL. Mr. Roan served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from BellSouth. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathryn Roan; a son, Ronald M. Roan; two daughters, Reganne Thompson and Rhonda (Jeffrey) McConathy ; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Hiddemen and Lois Smith; several nieces and nephews; and other loving family members. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
