Robert Richard

Robert Stanley Richard (Uncle Bob), age 84, of Vestavia Hills, AL, passed away on Monday June 11, 2012. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and spent most of his adult life in Montgomery, Alabama. His career, as an attorney, at Capell Howard Knabe & Cobbs was marked by his great tenacity in the court room and contagious sense of humor. In 2004, Uncle Bob relocated to Birmingham to live with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dick Stanley Richard and Ruth Kestler Richard, step mother, Blanche Frazier Richard and his brother, Leo Sherwood Richard. He is survived by his sister, Joy Richard Ebaugh, his nephew, Dick Richard (Debra), and their children Danielle, Cameron and Leo Richard. His nephews, Mike Richard (Marilyn), Bob Richard (Lisa), Ken Ebaugh (Sally), his nieces, Ayme' Richard Black (Rick), Ruth Richard Ervin (Steve), Karen Ebaugh Lamb (Frank), Lynn Ebaugh-Martin (Bob), and Jennifer Ebaugh Collins (David). Uncle Bob will be remembered for his story telling, his laughter, and his "southern gentleman" character. A gathering in celebration of Uncle Bob's life will be held for family and friends at Dick and Deb's home on Saturday June 16th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a brief service beginning at 5:00 pm.
