Robert William "Bob" Lindsey did not meet a stranger. The man even talked to people on elevators! Bob had a heart attack and passed away suddenly April 5th at his desk at work...where else? He was 74 and loved by many. He grew up in Ensley Highlands and went to school at Ensley and Fairfield. His foundation for office furniture was laid at Zac Smith, then he started Lindsey Office Furnishings in a horse barn in Hueytown in 1980. The rest is history! He married his wife of 49 years, Barbara Carmichael, in 1966. His parents were Leroy Lindsey and Gladys Lindsey. Sons: Brian (Jenna) and Mark Lindsey Grandsons: Taylor, Tanner, and Tristan Lindsey, John Michael Adelberg, Jr. His love for people and the lives he touched has been made even more evident since his passing, and the stories continue to add up.
Services will be Saturday April 9th, at Shades Mountain Independent Church 2281 Old Tyler Rd., Hoover, AL 35226. Family visitation will be at 9:00. Open visitation at 9:30 then the funeral at 11:00. At the end of the service, Barbara wants to do an open mic for anyone wishing to share short stories about how he impacted their life.
