of Alabaster, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2005, at the age of 64. He retired from U. S. Pipe and Foundry and was owner of Jones Electric in Shelby County. Mr. Jones held an Unlimited Contractor's License and was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Association. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jones of Hoover; three sons, James Jones, Jr. of Alabaster, Laird Sharpe, Jr. and Andrew Sharpe, both of Hoover; three daughters, Ginger Howard (Gary) of Birmingham, April Sharpe of Montevallo and Amy Cook of Hoover; six grandchildren, Daniel Davis, John and Grace Howard, Jodie Jones, Shelby and Emily Cook. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
