Robert Jolliff

of Hoover, AL passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008. Bob was born in Wooster, OH on September 12, 1943. He was a graduate of Wooster High School class of 1961, and an alumnus of Kent State University and University of Akron. Bob was employed with McDermott International in New Orleans, LA as a corporate treasurer for 29 years, retiring in 2003. He attended Riverchase United Methodist Church in Hoover, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Jolliff and Ethel Jolliff Morris and his brother, Thomas Jolliff. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joanne Battig Jolliff; a son, John Jolliff (Brandi); a daughter, Laura Northrop (Justin); two grandchildren, Dustin Jolliff and Ashlyn Northrop; two sisters, Marilyn Hasseman (Russell) and Doris Walker (Ralph); a brother, Donald Jolliff (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 10-11 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Riverchase United Methodist Church, 1953 Old Montgomery Highway, Hoover, Alabama 35244.
