of Lilburn, GA, born in Holden, WV, March 10, 1940, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2005, at the age of 65. He was baptised into the Baptist faith as a young man. Mr. Jernigan grew up in Shelby and Jefferson County and graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended Howard College (Samford University). He spent most of his adult life in the Atlanta, GA area and served in the U.S. Air Force and was also a Mason. Mr. Jernigan was deeply loved by his family and they will miss his laughter and smiles on this earth. He will be greeted by his Higher Power and his mother whose love was beyond description. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Lois and Paul Jernigan. He is survived by his wife, Donna Jernigan of Lilburn, GA; a daughter, Victoria Curry of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Jerry Jernigan of Newborn, GA; and a sister, Jacqueline Gober of Calera, AL. A memorial service was held at the Unity Christ Center in Swannee, GA on Thursday, June 30, 2005. A local memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, with Rev. Everett Bagley officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
