Robert Ford

Mr. Robert "Bob" Ford, of Hoover, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013, at the age of 88. He served in the U.S Navy in the Pacific during WWII. Mr. Ford graduated from Mississippi State University on May 23, 1949, and was married to his wife, Dorothy that same day. He retired from South Central Bell after 36 years service. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; a daughter, Gail Garner (Jim); two sons, Robert II and Scott Ford (Alana); and five grandchildren, Dr. Jeff Garner (Amy), Kim Garner, Nick, Charlie and Katie Ford. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 1 to 2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
