passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2007, at the age of 74. He was a graduate of Georgia State University where he received his BBA degree and was a member of Zeta Chi Delta and Pi Kappa Phi fraternities. Mr. Donaldson served two years with the U.S Army as a 1st Lieutenant. He was a Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He retired from Gulf Oil Corp. and B.P./Amoco. He was listed in Who's Who for accomplishments and contributions made to the community. After retirement, he taught Special ED classes in several local schools and served as Mayor for four years in Riverside. He and his wife have resided in Leeds for the past 9 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Donaldson; a daughter, Debbie Epler; a son, Bruce Donaldson (Kellie); three grandchildren, Shane and Kimberly Cantrell, and Jennifer Epler; a brother, William Donaldson (Diane) of Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 1:30 until 2:30 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 pm, with Rev. Alan Murphy officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
