Robert Belk

Robert Earl Belk went into the presence of his savior, Jesus Christ, on November 5th at the age of 96. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A chief radio officer on Ship Conoco, Denver, Bob was also Chief Radio Officer on Delta Steamship Company passenger ship Del Sud. He taught Radio Telegraphy at the Naval Radio School in Bainbridge, Maryland, having served three years in U.S. Naval Communications. After 35 years of service, Bob retired from WBRC T.V.

Bob was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Hoover.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother Bettie, His Father Houston, and his wife, Janice. He is survived by daughter Robin Belk of Fultondale, son Randall Belk (Lisa) of Huntsville, and granddaughter Ashley Morgan (Benjamin) of Chicago.

The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church Hoover, on November 12th at 1:00 p.m.
