Robbie Kitchens

Mrs. Robbie "Roberta' G. Kitchens, age 73, of Midfield,passed away February 1, 2011. She was retired from the Jefferson Co. Dept. of Health. She had a passion for genealogy and was a past member of the Birmingham Genealogical Society and a member of Stonewall #724 United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter. Preceding her in death were her husband, William H. Kitchens Sr., her parents, Mr. And Mrs. L. A. Goolsby, and her sister, Mrs. Barbara G. Long (Rufus). She is survived by her loving children, Karen Kitchens Murphy (Timothy Sr.),Katherine Kitchens McCowan (James), and Kraig Adam Kitchens. Grandchildren T. K Murphy Jr., Jordan McCowan, Elizabeth and Michael Codoy, Adam and Jakob Kitchens, Amy and Sarah Kitchens, and Heather and Tracy Kitchens. Sisters Dorothy G. Scott, Marjorie G. Maness (James). Brothers William L. Goolsby (Sue), and A. Edward Goolsby and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Service will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at Currie- Jefferson Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
