Richard Wakefield Jr.

Richard Dee Wakefield, Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30th after a long battle with dementia. He is survived by his loving wife Sally, as well as his children, Daniel and Deborah (Arman). He was born in Haleyville, AL and grew up around the world in a military family. He then became a highly decorated officer after serving in various facets of military service himself. He retired as a Colonel before spending nine years in the civil service. He was a lifelong Methodist and a graduate of the University of North Alabama. He was an exceptionally kind man who wanted nothing more than a simple life where his family was cared for.
