Richard Long, of Bessemer, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at the age of 69.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Donna Motes (Forrest), Tammy McLaughlin (Lee), and Stephanie Maples (Jason); grandchildren, Taylor, Madilyn, and Mason Mardis, Cassidy Bedford, Kaya Maples, Gavin Maples, and Ethan Motes.; brother, Johnny Long (Peggy); sister, Donna Austin (Clark); and several nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Service will follow at 2 PM in the chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
