Renee Stakes

of Homewood, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2006, at the age of 56. She was a member of Highlands United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stakes worked with the homeless ministries for a number of years, and was retired from the Social Security Administration. She is survived by her husband, John F. Stakes; her mother, Laura Shook, of Columbiana; two sisters, Penny Garzarek, of Columbiana and Rebecca Vaughn, of Homewood; and her beloved pets. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Highlands United Methodist Church, with Rev. Reggie Holder officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the United Animal Nation, P. O. Box 188890, Sacramento, CA 95818.
