Reba Higgins

Reba King Higgins, age, 78, of Hoover, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016. She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and also volunteered with the music ministry. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama. She was a retired school teacher from the Mt. Brook school system.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas R. Higgins; her daughter, Valerie Higgins Vincent (Andy); her son, Thomas Ross Higgins, Jr.; three grandchildren, Claire Elisabeth Higgins, Thomas Cole Higgins and Laura Catherine Higgins; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2 PM in the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM. Interment will be in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
