Raymond Henderson

of Goodwater, AL, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2005, at the age of 75. He served in the U.S. Army Cavalry in the Korean conflict. Mr. Henderson was employed as a machinist for more than 50 years and was a member of Hollins Baptist Church.He is remembered as a loving father. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, June Bailey Henderson; a son, Mike Henderson (Mary) of Sylacauga; five grandchildren, Stephen and Kristin Henderson of Sylacauga, Shelley Overstreet (David) of Chattanooga, TN, Cory Copeland of Hanceville and Melissa Jones (Jason) of Morris; a brother, Curtis Henderson (Jean) of Maryville, TN; a sister, Shirley Frederick (Dwade) of Gardendale. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2005, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, AL. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Ray Cooper and Rev. Max Buttram officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Currie-Jefferson directing.
