Ramona Spidle

89, of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. She was the youngest daughter of 13 children of Walter and Elizabeth Branham. She was a member of Shades Crest Baptist Church. She served in the U.S. Womens Coast Guard during WW II and was stationed in Norfolk VA. Mrs. Spidle was an avid reader and enjoyed writing poetry and books. Mrs. Spidle was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and her focus was on her family. She is survived by her husband of 61 years C.B. Spidle; one daughter, Sandra Spidle; one son, C.B. Spidle, Jr. (GiGi); three grandchildren, Julius Bernard Spidle, Daniel Patrick Spidle and Natalie Marie Spidle; two brothers, M.T. Branham and Connard Branham; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 11 am until 12 noon at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with the service to begin at 12 Noon in the Chapel. Interment will be in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Lung Association.
