Rachel Howton

Rachel Parsons Howton, age 81, of the community of Mud Creek near Adger, Alabama, passed away Monday.
She was preceded by her parents, Wyman Ellery Parsons & Marie Kegley Parsons. Brothers, John Parsons, Bob Parsons and George Edward Parsons.
She is survived by 2 sons, Sherrill (Christy) & Michael Howton, daughter, Karen Ray (John), 9 grandchildren, 3 of which were very special to her, Jamie Jones(Keith), Jonathan Howton (Kathy) and Jessica Carmichael, 4 great grandchildren, Bobby Jones, Hannah Kate Howton, Alexis & Taylor Carmichael, 5 sisters, Evelyn Gilbert (Mort), Ann Parsons, Helen Gowers (Embry), Janet Bryant and Linda Woods, sister-in-law, Jane Parsons, brother, Henry (Nancy) Parsons, several nieces and nephews that were all very special to her and her little furry companion, Holly that she loved very much.
The family will receive friends on Thursday January 16, 2014, from 1-2 PM at Mud Creek Baptist Church located at 9450 Mud Creek Church Road Adger, Alabama 35006. Service at the church at 2:00 with burial in the church cemetery.
