Phillip Parrett

of Hoover, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2007, at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Calvin and Bessie G. Parrett. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Parrett; sons, Mike Parrett (Kathy), Donnie Borst (Laurie) and Todd Borst (Kimberly); a daughter, Candice Walsworth (Willie); ten grandchildren, Ashley, Telly, James, Jessie, Adam, Drew, Taylor, Carter, Garrett and Maggie Claire; three great grandchildren, Mason, Sarah and Kaitlyn; a sister, Polly Habshey (Herb); a nephew, Jay Habshey (Stacie); many friends; and caregivers, Kim Brakefield and Sam Hendking. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, 2007, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Deacon Chris Rosco officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Amedisys Hospice Service.
