Peter Young

Mr. Peter H. Young, 58, of Pelham, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was a man of faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham. He was an avid golfer and worked in the Club and Community business for 30 plus years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Midge Young; two sons, Michael Young (Andra) and Ryan Young (Leah); two daughters, Tracy Payne (Richard) and Suzan Sample (John); grandchildren, Adam Sample (Maureen), Chris Sample, Staci Williams (Jimmy), Josh Payne and Zac Payne (Ashley); Poppie of Katie and Chloe Williams; two brothers, Ric Young (Ruth) and Ken Young (Tere) and a host of loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2 PM in the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 until 8 at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to UAB Cancer Research, 1530 3rd Ave. S.
