Peggy Sansing Tucker, 81, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Born on June 11, 1938, in Woodstock, Alabama, to Robert Edward and Mary Adele Sansing, she was the second oldest of six children. She graduated from West Blocton High School as valedictorian of her class and took classes at UAB and Alverson-Draughon College. She worked for Central Bank (now BBVA), The Mad Hatter Air Duct Cleaning & Chimney Sweep Service, and American Greetings, but she also spent several years as a stay-at-home mom, taking care of her and her husband, Alan's two daughters, Sharon and Sheryl. She was a member of Grace Covenant Baptist Church, Vestavia, Alabama, at the time of her passing. Peggy had a sweet, loving spirit and a servant's heart, enjoyed helping others, and loved visiting with friends and family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; husband, Alan; brothers, Harry and Jerry; brother-in-law, Wilbur; sister-in-law, Dolores; nephew, Doyne; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon and Sheryl; son-in-law, Brian; sister, Nell; brothers, Ray and Clay; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Florea; nieces, Tammy, Karen, Debbie, and Christian; nephews, Mike, Kenneth, Steve, and Robert; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Todd Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
