Paul Rankin, Jr

Paul L. Rankin, Jr., of Hoover, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the age of 86. He was a career Air Force Officer and Fighter Pilot, achieving the rank of full Colonel prior to his retirement. Among his favorite things: a good steak, a good nap, oreo blizzards and anything on 4 legs, not necessarily in that order.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Deborah C. Rankin, Peggy Rankin Williamson (Pete), and Cynthia L. Rankin; 4 grandchildren, Sara, Jana, Daniel, and Tyler; his sister, Sandy Rankin.

The family will receive friends from 12-1, Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Following the visitation, Marge Roate will officiate a brief graveside service at 1 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
