Mr. Paul A. Manley, of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the age of 88. Born in Frederick, OK, he had been a resident of the Birmingham area for the past 53 years. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 4th Infantry division during the European Theater where he was awarded the Bronze Star and 2 Purple Hearts. He retired from Ceco Corporation as Chief Sales Engineer after 22 years service. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Myrtice Stephens Manley; a son, Scott Manley (Kristi); 3 daughters, Terrie White (William), Donna McClure (Rick) and Louise Holt (Greg); 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 2 great granddaughters. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with entombment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
