Patsy Malcom

of Vestavia, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2009, at the age of 64. She was a graduate from Southeastern Bible College in 1966, with a degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Malcom taught the 6th grade at Alliance Christian School for 5 years. She was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church and was the Dean of Women at Southeastern Bible College from 1990-1998. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Lyn Malcom; two sons, Rob and Greg Malcom, both of Birmingham; a daughter, Abbey Gore (Matt) of Vestavia; three grandchildren, Anderson, Elliot and Wilson Gore; a sister, Charlotte Parkin (Cole) of Jackson, MS; six nephews; and a niece. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 5, 2009, from 4-6 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009, at 11 AM at Fullness Christian Fellowship. Entombment will be in the Abbey Mausoleum in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Big Oak Boys Ranch or to Southeastern Bible College.
