Patrick Phillips

of Homewood, formerly of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Friday, May 22,2009 at the age of 45. After a lifetime struggle with mental illness,Patrick lost a battle to cancer. He was a member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Patrick was also a member of the American Philatelic Society and the Birmingham Philatelic Society. He was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Kendall Phillips; two brothers,Stephen Daniel Phillips and Michael Phillips; two sisters, Rebecca Phillips McCaa and Carla Thrash. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 5:30 pm at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in the chapel, 1114 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL.
