Patricia Wilkes

Born June 17, 1941, Patricia Anne Williams Wilkes (Pat) age 82 of Homewood, went home to the Lord, Thursday, June 22, 2023.

As a child Pat was allowed to skip two grades in elementary school, and later graduated from McAdory High School. She received a degree from Samford University in Paralegal Studies and had a long career in banking with Regions Bank and Bank of New York, from which she retired. She was a naturally curious person with a lifelong love of reading, who took any opportunity to review and talk about books. She was well known for her delicious banana bread, and her "Easy Chocolate Cake." Pat had a green thumb for plants and loved spending time at the ocean. She enjoyed knitting for others in front of a good Hallmark movie and got much joy from her two little dogs Bella and Bailey.

Pat is preceded in death by her mother Annie Eiland Williams and her father Robert S.A. Williams. She is survived by her brother Wayne Williams, and her six daughters: Robin Wilkes; Ronna Michaels (Ken); Rachel McCrorie (David); Ramona Wilkes; Rebecca Wilkes-Macks (Rusty); and Ramsi Robinson (Mark).

She is also loved by ten grandchildren and blessed with three great-grandchildren. She cared for her family deeply, and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive visitors July 15th from 1-2PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hoover, AL.

A memorial service will begin at 2PM, and a reception will follow at a location to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Greater Birmingham Humane Society, or The Salvation Army.
