Patricia Hare Shanlever, 45, born February 2, 1977 in Birmingham, AL. a resident of Helena, AL passed away July 15, 2022, surrounded by family. After moving from Gardendale, AL to Hoover, AL, she graduated from Hoover High School in 1995. Tricia attended Auburn University, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from UAB in 2003. She taught Math, was a Math Coach and School Counselor at various elementary schools in Jefferson County and within the Hoover City School System.
She is survived by her parents, David and Teresa Hare, of Hoover, AL; her sisters: Penny (Rudy) Nava, Amy (Del) Estis, Alex (Adam) Marshall; her children: John David Shanlever, Vivian Whitley Shanlever, and Keaton Brooks Shanlever and her nieces and nephews: McCoy Mandujano, Taylor (Josh) Myrick, Del Estis and Harper Hare.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 tells us: “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Tricia loved big-her children, her family, her students, and her pets. Whether it was a student without a snack, or a pet without a home, she would do anything she could to ensure that spirit felt loved and appreciated. She celebrated birthdays with vigor, always wanting someone to feel special on “their day. Nothing brought her more joy than giving of her time, talent and treasure. She was generous with her joy, always wanting to lift spirits and put a smile on someone’s face. She was generous with her spirit, always giving to those with less.
