Pat Handley

Pat Handley of Clanton, AL passed away December 16, 2019 at 93 years of age. His parents William E. Handley, Sr. and Minnie M Handley preceded him in death.

Viewing will be at 11:00 Friday, January 3, 2020, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with a graveside service to be held at 12:00 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, in Hoover, AL

Mr. Handley was a native of Gardendale, AL. and a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School where he excelled in varsity baseball and basketball. He joined the Navy and serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict, receiver of an Honorable Discharge  His career was in transportation, starting with Gordon Transport as Sales Manager before beginning his own brokerage company, which he operated until his death.

He was preceded in death by his first and second wife, Fay C Handley and Deloris (Dee) C. Handley; his siblings, Carl Handley, Hurshel Handley, Ruby H. Morgan, Lucy H. Ambrose, and William Handley, Jr. He was much loved by too numerous friends to count especially many nieces and nephews.
