Pamela Daniels of the Meadow Brook/Inverness community lost her battle with cancer on November 29, 2015. Pam spent her early life in Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School. She graduated from the University Hospital School of Nursing (now UAB) and qualified for her Registered Nurse license. She worked for several hospitals including Emory University Hospital in Atlanta before returning home to work for Citizens Hospital (now Baptist Hospital Talladega). After marrying her husband, Roy, she worked for several county health departments in Georgia and Northwest Georgia Psychiatric Hospital. After Pam and Roy retired, they returned to Alabama to be near family.
Pam is survived by her husband, Roy Daniels; her son, Mac Pruitt (Sheree) of Pell City; son, Eric Daniels (Kimber) of Alabaster; daughter, Emily Anne Lacey (Jeremy) of Sterrett; grandchildren Tori Pruitt, John Daniel Lacey, Molly Kate Lacey, Samuel Colt Lacey, and Jazmine Summerlin. She is also survived by her brother, Andy Hardy (Leigh) of Opelika. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jackson H and Sara Taylor Hardy.
Pam was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends and family Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 2:30-3:30 at the church with a celebration of life to follow at 3:30 with Rev. Greg Foust of Asbury UMC and Rev. Dave Allen-Grady of Druid Hills UMC, Atlanta, officiating. Interment will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10 AM at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
