Ossie Joseph

of Gadsden, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at the age 98. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shaker Joseph; a sister, Claudia Godfrey Nabors; four brothers, Henry J., Clinton, Hoyt, and Ralph Armstrong. She is survived by her niece, Lorine Godfrey Worthington, who has been her companion for many years, and survived by many other great nieces and great nephews. She didn't have any children, but she loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10, 2007, from 12-1 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Amedysis Hospice. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
