Orez Nichols

Mrs. Orez Veazey Nichols, of Hoover, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the age of 85. She was a long time member and librarian of Bluff Park Baptist Church. Her hobbies were quilting, cross stitching, knitting and Veazey family historian. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, J.E. Nichols and a step son, Jimmy Houghton. She is survived by 3 sons, Ben Nichols (Pam), Ken Nichols and Den Nichols (Anna); a step daughter, Theresa Pitts; 4 grandchildren, Necole (Shawn), Jimmy (Jessica), Matthew and Peter; 6 great grandchildren, Hanna, Austin, Parker, Braxton, Kayleigh and Harmony; and a brother, Ira Veazey (Laura Ann). The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 12 to 1 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with funeral service at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Barber officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Library Fund at Bluff Park Baptist Church.
