Opal Martin

Opal V. Martin of Pelham, AL passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lilia Mae and James Allen Bunt, brothers Marvin, Alden and Harold Bunt, sisters Katie Mitchell, Margie Shrove and Ida Belcher and their spouses, sons-in-law Herbert Austin and Ralph Porter. Opal is survived by her daughters, Linda Hundredmark and Paula Porter and numerous nieces and nephews. She always showed a love for people, especially Debbie McRoy, Jennifer Barnett and Katrena Smith.

She had a heart of gold, always willing to help those in need. She was kind, compassionate, funny and an avid animal lover. She loved her family and being around people.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 12:00pm immediately following visitation at 11:00am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.
