Ocie Watkins

of Birmingham, passed away on April 13th, 2005 at the age of 91. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Watkins, and a son Robert Edward Watkins. The Watkins were residents of Vestavia Hills for over 50 years and long time members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Watkins, a resident of Fairview Nursing Home, Birmingham,and Paula Watkins Bowsher of Hoover; one sister, Mary Peart of Pensacola, Florida; 5 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. As requested, no funeral service will be held, and in lieu of flowers, it is requested that a contribution be made to Fairview Nursing Home Garden Fund to construct a garden area in her memory for the residents there, to be named "Peggy's Garden".
