Norma Dunn

d. July 24, 2007

age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, surrounded by her loving daughter, Deborah D. Headley (Ronnie), and her special friend, Faye Trim. Mrs. Dunn was a life-long resident of Parkwood, AL and a member of Parkwood Church of God. She had one grandson, Bronson Headley (Martha), who was her pride and joy. Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clarence Dunn, her parents, Boyd and Minnie Lagle, and her oldest brother, Herman D. Lagle (Opal). She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Aldon J. Lagle (Doris), Mildred Eaton (Rayburn), Carroll S. "Buddy" Lagle (Barbara), Gloria Wyatt (Willard), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Mrs. Dunn was without a doubt the most gracious, sweetest, kindest, generous southern lady that anyone would want to know. Her unique eloquence and style were impeccable and created many found memories for all who knew her. Her ability to cook brought much comfort and joy to anyone she served. She was self-employed and retired from CPG, Inc. and served many people and families through her business. Her love not only extended to her friends and family, but also to her love and compassion for her best four-legged friends, Bullet (Jack Russell) and Roxanne (Schnauzer). Mrs. Dunn's life was indeed dedicated to serving others by unselfishly giving of herself. She was an altruistic servant of the Lord. Mrs. Dunn will forever be remembered and etched into our hearts for all the love, comfort and goodwill she has shared. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 12:00 -1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, AL. A graveside service will followed at 1:15 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, with Reverend Bill Phares officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkwood Church of God.
