of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on October 8, 2005, at the age of 89. She was a native of Winfield, AL, and a longtime resident of Birmingham before moving to Tallahassee seven years ago. Netta was retired from Social Security as a Claims Administrator. She was a member of Bluff Park Baptist Church, where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. Netta was a member of Brookwood Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard E. White and John B. Murphy, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Roberts (Jim), Janie White (Alvin) of Murphy, NC and Dr. Suzie Murray Lassiter of Ellisville, MS; seven grandchildren, Paul Roberts, Lee Ann Roberts Pope, Karen White Burke, Michael White, Kelli Lassiter Hammond, Kristi and Kimberly Lassister; and thirteen great granchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with funeral services to follow at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover.
