Nancy Mayfield

of Bessemer, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at the age of 75. She was the greatest person, who was always loving, caring, and never had a harsh word for anyone, and always urged people to pray. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Odie L. Mayfield, Sr. She is survived by three sons, Mark Mayfield (Gayla), Odie Mayfield, Jr. (Lilly) and Gary Mayfield; a daughter, Patty Moore (James); four grandchildren, Amanda Peoples (Chad), Kayla Scurlock, Crechale Mayfield and Scott Mayfield; two great grandchildren, Chase and Haley Peoples; a brother, Roger Robinson; and a sister, Virginia Pope. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2007, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. H. W. Doss officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
