Myrtis Hollis

of Homewood, formerly of Hwy 150, Hoover, passed away on December 14, 2005 at the age of 82. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Ms. Hollis was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Hollis, and a daughter, Doris Nell Cowart. She is survived by four sons, William Jerry Hollis (Catherine) of Wilsonville, James Howard Hollis (Carole) of Maryville, TN, Roy Eugene Hollis of Birmingham and Keith Alexander Hollis of Birmingham; three daughters, Carolyn Jo Noble (Patrick) of Shannon, Brenda Sue Martin (Kenneth) of Pelham and Patricia J. Reddish (David) of Pelham; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 15, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Rick Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
