Montriel Pitts

Montriel Fowler Pitts, of Birmingham, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She taught 3rd grade at Gardendale Elementary for more than 46 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana Howse Hand; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her sister, Jean Heard.
The family will receive friends from 10-11, Monday, January 5, 2015, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11 in the chapel, Bro. Bud Thomason officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Thomas Baptist Church.
