Miles Davis

of Bessemer, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the age of 54. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Alabaster. Mr. Davis graduated from Glenn High School in 1971 and was a graphic artist for Phenix Prepress. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stewart and Dorothy Davis, and a brother, Carlos W. Owen. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sheilah Z. Davis; two daughters, Stephanie Frederick (Donny) and Ashley Dickey (Brad); three grandchildren, Macie Frederick, Gage Frederick and Morgan Dickey; two brothers, J. W. Davis and Jackie Davis; several nieces and nephews, many other family members and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Les Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
