Mildred Rew

Mrs. Mildred Rew, age 87, of Birmingham, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. She was a member of Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Officers Wives Club, the Vestavia Hills Garden Club, and several Bridge Clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Young Rew Jr. She is survived by her sons: Edward Young Rew III (Kay) of Jonesboro, GA, Richard Glenn Rew (Tsugumi) of Carpenteria, CA, and James William Rew (Sherleen) of Sharpsburg, GA; one daughter: Margaret Jane Howze, of Birmingham. Grandchildren: Heidi, Meg, Ned, Clayton, Jonathan, Maya, William and Daniel Rew, Alex and Rebecca Howze; two sisters: Betty Rollins (Jack), of Hoover and Pat Rocks (Tom), of Spartanburg, SC, and a brother, Robert Miller of Pelham; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM at the Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 513 Columbiana Rd. Homewood.
